Several stacks of fully painted yellow counterweights are stored on the premises, ready for dispatch. These distinctive components are marked with red and white warning markings and are securely placed on wooden pallets for onward transport.

Solutions in storage and logistics

An interior view of a warehouse containing tall stacks of grey steel structural components. At the German site, these counterweights are filled with heavy-duty concrete using a specialised filling system and prepared for final assembly.

Counterweights are indispensable for many machines and systems, and mass comes at a price. It’s not just the material itself that incurs costs; there is also significant potential for savings, particularly when it comes to transportation. To remain competitive, we have a subsidiary in Romania where our basic steel structural components are manufactured. Since these components are not filled, transportation costs for them are low. It is only at our facility in Germany that the components are filled using a special process with our heavy-duty concrete filling system and then assembled.

To save on transportation costs, we do not deliver our counterweights to our customers for installation testing; instead, we build a fixture specifically tailored to the individual end machine to simulate installation on the end machine. This process allows us to ensure safe installation, and the counterweight can be shipped directly to the final assembly location without any detours. This saves enormous logistics costs and makes our service attractive even to customers in other countries.

It goes without saying that we can also offer warehouse capacity and just-in-time deliveries, and that we handle all aspects of export logistics.
